Safety Track System Recovers Stolen Truck Worth $100,000

Belleville, MI – April 2, 2012 – Ruan Transport Corporation, a leader in the transportation industry, recovered a stolen truck and assets totally $100,000 in value using Safety Track’s GPS Fleet Tracking System.

A group of thieves swiped the vehicle Saturday night (March 31, 2012) from an LKQ Corp. location in Linthicum, Maryland. Ruan Transport received an unauthorized vehicle alert and was able to track the truck to a scrap yard 14 miles away in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The police were notified and the truck was successfully recovered, avoiding any interruptions in Ruan Transport’s normal operations.

“I am a firm believer in the product Safety Track has, it saved Ruan $100,000 last night,” says Chad W. Humphrey, Director of Operations for Ruan Transport Corp.

Safety Track of Michigan is a woman-owned business that was established in 2002 to help businesses maintain control of fleet vehicles through the use of GPS Tracking technology and In Vehicle Car Cameras.
